Baby shower thank you notes, minus the sleep deprivation.

You have enough on your plate with a little one on the way. Let us handle the thank yous. Each one robotically handwritten and personal.

Between preparing the nursery, doctor's appointments, and the general anxiety of becoming a parent, writing 30 to 60+ baby shower thank you notes often falls to the very bottom of the list. And once the baby actually arrives? Forget about it. Sleep deprivation and thank you note writing don't exactly go together.

Grateful helps new and expecting parents send beautiful, personalized baby shower thank you notes without the stress. Upload your guest list with names, gifts, and addresses. Choose a tone that sounds like you, whether that's grateful and gushing, warm and witty, or sweet and sincere. Our AI writes a unique note for every guest that specifically mentions their gift and feels genuinely personal.

Every note is robotically handwritten with a real pen on real stationery and mailed directly to your guests. Your best friend gets a heartfelt thank you for the hand-knit blanket. Your coworkers get a warm note about the diaper fund. And your mother-in-law gets the perfect note about the stroller she spent weeks researching. No templates, no generic messages, just real, personal gratitude delivered on beautiful stationery, while you focus on what actually matters: getting ready for the baby.

To: Sarah & Mike
Gift: UPPAbaby Vista stroller

We are SO excited about the stroller. We've already taken it for a test drive around the neighborhood (sans baby, which got some funny looks). The Vista is exactly what we wanted and we couldn't believe your generosity. This little one is going to ride in style from day one. Thank you so much for such an incredible gift.

Gift: Hand-knit baby blanket

The blanket you knit is absolutely precious. I got emotional just unfolding it at the shower. Knowing you put so many hours of love into every stitch makes it the most special gift we received. It's already draped over the crib waiting for its little owner. This is going to be a family heirloom. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

To: The Team at Work
Gift: Group diaper fund contribution

Thank you all so much for the incredibly generous contribution to our diaper fund! As first-time parents, we had no idea how many diapers we'd need until we started doing the math, and now we're a lot less terrified. Your support (and all the unsolicited advice at the shower) means the world to us. We can't wait to introduce the little one to the team!

To: Aunt Lisa & Uncle Dave
Gift: Baby monitor

The baby monitor is such a perfect gift. We've already set it up in the nursery and tested it about a dozen times (we may be slightly anxious first-time parents). The video quality is incredible and it's going to give us so much peace of mind once the little one arrives. You always know exactly what people actually need. Thank you both so much for thinking of us!

Frequently Asked Questions

When should baby shower thank yous go out — before or after the baby arrives?

Etiquette suggests within two weeks of the shower, but real life often pushes it later. Grateful is built for exactly this — upload your gift list once and have notes mailed in days, whether that's pre-baby (relaxed) or post-baby (one less thing to worry about during the newborn fog).

Can I include a photo of the baby in the thank you note?

Currently, Grateful sends written notes only — no photos. If you want to include a baby photo, the most common approach is to mail your Grateful thank you alongside a separate photo card. We're considering photo support for a future release.

How do you handle group gifts (e.g. coworkers chipping in for the stroller)?

Enter the group as the recipient (e.g. "The Marketing Team") and describe the gift ("Group contribution to stroller"). The AI writes a single warm note thanking the whole group, and you can choose to send the same note to each contributor or one note to a designated recipient.

What if multiple people gave duplicate gifts (3 packs of onesies)?

Each note is individual — duplicate gifts won't trigger the AI to mention duplication unless you ask it to. Each gift-giver gets a personalized note focused on their gift specifically, so no one feels lumped together.

Is the writing legible? My family is older.

Yes — Grateful uses premium pen-on-card-stock writing with a curated set of legible handwriting fonts. Pick a clean cursive or print style and your grandmother won't need a magnifying glass. Sample fonts are visible on the "See What Your Notes Could Look Like" section above.
